Since Dead or Worse doesn't follow a single story line, many different peoples' paths will cross and you never know when you'll meet a new friend, or an old enemy.

Mick O'Conner

The son of Irish immigrants, he left Boston as a boy to find his home and his fortune. He's always working an angle, and the next scam is going to be the biggest. His quick wit and sharp tongue get him out of nearly as many binds as they get him into.

Pretty Johnny

Acclaimed, nay, legendary bareknuckle boxer in these parts. Mick promotes fights and Johnny wins them. He's the sort of guy you want on your side in a pinch, even if he's not the sort you want pinching your sister.

Adelita DeSoledad

The bane of anyone who has anything she wants. She came from Spain with nothing, and hasn't been able to take enough back to make up for it. She has fire in her eyes and ice in her veins, and the only people who are safe from her are those so downtrodden that they've nothing to take.
